LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT REFUNDS 145 FORMER SUBSCRIBERS OF EGAN HOUSING ESTATE
Two students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, were crushed to death on the Akure-Ondo road, near Olokunta community, Akure, the state capital.
They were riding on a bicycle when a car rammed into them.
Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo, condemned reckless driving on the highway and cautioned drivers against over speeding.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Joint Campus Council (JCC) Ondo State Axis, in a statement by the Chairman, Comrade Oluwarotimi Joshua, described the loss as a heavy blow to the student community.
It reads: “The tragic death of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragility of life. These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.”
The statement hoped that their memories would inspire efforts for safer roads and justice.
